Through the eyes of Kevin…
I don’t know about you, but I love getting my favorite brands at a great bargain. Well, Vans shoes have always been one of my favorite and essential pieces of footwear because they’re so stylish and comfortable, but they aren’t always student budget-friendly. Despite this, I always manage to find a way to get my hands on a pair of decently priced Vans.
During my Vans hunt, I decided to visit a retailer on Yonge Street. When I entered the store, all of their shoes were displayed on the wall under their respective brand name. I was greeted by a lovely sales associate who then directed me to the men’s Vans section. She also mentioned where the sale rack could be found. As a true bargain hunter, I quickly browsed through the sale rack where I was very surprised to find a pair of khaki Vans that I had wanted. Good looking shoes at a discount? Don’t mind if I do!
As I was holding the display shoe in my hand, a male sales associate asked me if I was looking for the shoe in a specific size. I told him that I was looking for the Vans in a size twelve or thirteen, and in a flash he went to the stock room and returned with each of the sizes that I had asked for. As I tried on the size thirteen, the sales associate complimented me on the fit of the shoe and made sure to slip in the fact that it was discounted. Wanting to cash in on this discount right away, I decided to put the Vans in the box and pay for them at the cash register.
I had a great experience at the store and both of the sales associates that I had interacted with were awesome. While I shopped strictly from their sale rack, I still received the same level of customer service as anyone else in the store. I really love cashing in on a great bargain, but I love great customer service even more. When the two are paired together- it’s like finding your favorite shoes at a great price!
